So I finally got an iPhone 3g (16 GB black). Basically I love so many things about it. It has excellent sound(output and input). It has an excellent screen(capacitive, 3.5", nice resolution). It has a nice third party application store. The Hardware feature set is pretty nice to with, Wifi(B,G), 3G, A-GPS, 16 GB Flash Drive, overall nice shape. But, it also is lacking in terms of camera, and photo quality, and capacity. The image sensor of the camera works pretty well during the day, but the exposure lags. The camera does not work well in night time. Also it does not have a video camera mode which could be done for various reasons or just pure laziness. What upsets me is that you can't sync any file you want to the iPhone, such as pdf, html, etc. It should allow such items to be synced and not be so constrictive. Also The 148 application limitation seems to be an issue for hardcore iphoners. It would be nice if there was an office suite to work on and edit word docs, power points, excel, etc. It should have wireless sync by now and copy and paste. What is Apple's excuse for this? Simple, it is not currently a priority. I think many businessmen would disagree, hence why they are choosing blackberry for that exact reason. Those are some basic functions available in windows mobile and blackberry alike. Apple needs to work better with ATT so there is not confusion when purchasing a new plan with or upgrading to an iPhone. Apple needs more accessibility to ATT server's to modify information without confusion upon arrival at Apple store.
The Mail application of the iPhone should be compatible with windows live and hotmail alike and should allow html emails and not only smtp or pop3. Finally, i'm sure many texters would agree that the iPhone needs MMS. It's not that complicated, get with the program.
