So I have been testing Windows 7 for about two weeks now, courtesy of Microsoft testing program. I was amazed it was a beta build. At first glance it looked like a slight alteration of the Vista OS. That is not the case. Windows 7 is a revolution for Microsoft in terms of operating systems.
I had nearly give up on them, but this helped them gain back one more loyal customer. Seriously the amount of time I've spent on hold with microsoft employees who didn't know how to help me...
Back to the topic though, the operating system is a huge improvement structurally. The operating system is liquid, in the sense that it just keeps running. The new Open app taskbar is a welcome addition, Microsoft may be taking hinters from Apple on that one. The hover preview is paradigm. It will save you so much cursor time. There are many features I could not test as I don't have other systems with windows 7 installed. Driver problems, just get 7. Arduous lengthy setups, just get 7.
In this case 7 is Microsoft's lucky number. Please Microsoft don't wait so long coming out with newer operating systems in the future. Vista was not worth the wait.
